A representative of Cuba Bien travel agency will meet
you at Miami International Airport to help you check-in your flight to Havana.
After a 45 min flight you will be at Cienfuegos International
Airport ‘Jaime Gonzales’. Upon arrival you will clear immigration and proceed
to pick up your luggage.
Outside the terminal you will be welcome by a Cuba
Bien staff member and your local guide.
After being pick-up at the airport, you will have a 15
min drive to Cienfuegos City historical center and start the walking tour of
its main square.
Known as the ‘Pearl of the South’, Cienfuegos is a
unique city in Cuba which combines its French influence with the waters of the
bay that surrounds it. Founded almost at the turn of the 19th
century, the city became one of the most important centers for trade and
commerce in the Island.
During the tour, you will have the opportunity of
visiting the ‘Tomas Terry’ Theater. Its stage have been decorated with the
performances of Sarah Benhardt and Enrico Carusso.
Later on, you will be taken to ‘Taller de Gráfica de
Cienfuegos’, a printing workshop where artist share their knowledge and charisma
with the visitors. You will learn there about the community project they carry
out with Down syndrome patients.
A light lunch will be provided at ‘La Union’ hotel
restaurant before you go and check-in at Hotel ‘Jagua’ where you will spend 2
nights.
Before dinner there will be a special music
presentation by Cienfuegos vocal choir. At the end of the show you will be able
to interact with the singers.
Tonight dinner will be at ‘El Lagarto’ family restaurant
located by the waters of Cienfuegos bay.
