This tour is designed for those who seek to know Havana thoroughly. Walks through Old Havana, meals in the most prestigious restaurants, nightclub trips and most importantly, meeting Cubans and their culture.


Highlights: Old Havana walking tour - Rum Museum - Panoramic tour in  an old 50`s car - Cuban Art Factory (FAC)  - Ernest Hemingway’s Museum - Fusterland community project.

Itinerary

Activities in this itinerary should be considered a sample only. Final itineraries are sent to guest one or two weeks prior to departure. The tour start time will vary slightly depending on flight arrivals.

    A representative of Cuba Bien travel agency will meet you at Miami International Airport to help you check-in your flight to Havana.

    After a 45 min flight you will be at Havana International Airport ‘José Martí’. Upon arrival you will clear immigration and proceed to pick up your luggage. It might be a slow process. The terminal has only 2 carousels.
    Outside the terminal you will be welcome by a Cuba Bien staff member and your local guide.

    Pick up at the airport in comfortable bus and transfer into the city of Havana for a panoramic tour (starting to the Revolution Square, University of Havana, Habana Libre Tryp Hotel, La Rampa and Calle 23 down until Miramar neighborhood through El Malecon).

    Lunch at a local paladar, the name Cubans give to family own restaurants.

    Check in a casa particular/ hotel at a nice neighborhood in Havana.

    Welcome Dinner at a local paladar.

    Return to casa particular / hotel.

    Breakfast at a casa particular / hotel.

    Tour on an old 1950`s cars heading to the first square San Francisco and make a walking tour of Old Havana visiting the Havana Club Museum.

    Lunch at a local paladar.

    After lunch visit The Art Craft Market Almacenes San José, the artisan's market in Old Havana. This is a space created for local artists and sellers of handicrafts to display and offer visitors some of the most beautiful souvenirs in Cuba.

    On the way to return to casa particular/ hotel you will enjoy a panoramic tour around Paseo del Prado, Parque Central and El Capitolio.

    Dinner at a local paladar.

    Visit to The San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress for the 9 pm ceremony of the cannon shot that it will sound in all the main city of Havana.

    Breakfast at casa particular / hotel.

    Bus will pick you up for a visit the Ernest Hemingway’s Museum at Finca Vigia.

    On the way back lunch in a paladar at the fishing village of Cojimar, home of the boatman Gregorio Fuentes friend of the known writer Ernest Hemingway and inspiration of one of his novel The Old Man and the Sea.

    At the afternoon an enjoyable visit to Fusterlandia, a fantasy land created in a middle class neighborhood in Havana. This colorful and unique cultural imprint was created by the plastic artist Jose Fuster, who many call the Picasso of the Caribbean. The visit consists in a walk of the streets of this neighborhood to catch the bold mosaics popping up in front of you embedded onto fences, facades, roofing, doors, and even street poles.

    Return to casa particular / hotel.

    Farewell Dinner at a local paladar.

    Visit to the Fabrica de Arte Cubano (FAC), a space to enjoy contemporary art exhibitions and live music.

    Bus will take you back to your casa particular / hotel.

    After breakfast check out of the casa particular/ hotel heading to the Havana Airport to return flight home. Airlines recommend arriving at the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure.
